What is stem cell therapy here?

We offer culture-expanded adipose-derived stem cell therapy under Japan’s regenerative medicine framework. A small amount of fat is collected with a needle—not a surgical harvest—then processed in our licensed in-clinic CPC while quality and chain-of-custody are documented. Cells may be infused intravenously, delivered to joints under imaging guidance, or both—only as your signed plan specifies.

This is not the same as same-day bone-marrow concentrates common in many US clinics. Expansion allows defined higher doses but typically requires a culture period and a return visit.

Who may be a candidate?

Suitability is always individual. These are common reasons guests enquire—not automatic qualifications.

  • Knee, hip, shoulder, or spine-related pain when imaging and exam support regenerative options
  • Slow recovery after sports or orthopedic injury
  • Interest in systemic IV support alongside MSK care when clinically selected
  • Longevity or wellness goals with realistic recovery pacing—not a tourist infusion menu

We review prior imaging, labs, medications, and travel constraints before suggesting Visit 1 dates.

When we may advise waiting or declining

  • Active systemic infection or uncontrolled illness
  • History or suspicion of certain cancers without clearance
  • Pregnancy or plans to become pregnant during treatment windows
  • Expectation of a single seven-day trip that includes expanded-cell reinfusion
  • Demand for therapies outside Japan’s permitted framework or our CPC scope

How delivery works at Rakan

IV infusion

Cultured cells infused under nursing supervision when your plan includes systemic delivery. Dose is quoted per session in your finalized plan—for example, roughly 100 million cells per IV when indicated.

Joint injection

Ultrasound-guided delivery to a specific anatomical site—quoted per site after evaluation (e.g., one knee). Often paired with, not replaced by, PRP or exosome when appropriate.

Two-visit pacing

Visit 1: consultation, needle collection, optional adjunct injections. Culture at home (~6–8 weeks). Visit 2: infusion and joint work as cleared. Optional booster follow-up later.
